/in UAI Events, UAI News /by UAIUnited Alloy is a proud member of Forward Janesville, a local organization that leads private sector economic and community development efforts to ensure the continued health and prosperity of business and industry in Janesville and Rock County. In conjunction with Forward Janesville, United Alloy has hosted the Business After Five (BA5) event on two separate occasions, each of which has brought over 400 locals to celebrate the phases of growth within United Alloy. The BA5 serves as an exceptional networking function for Janesville and surrounding Rock County businesses to learn more about one another’s companies and further leverage relationships within the community. Hosting the Business After Five event was an opportunity for United Alloy to showcase not just our expansion, but the local talent, pride and craftsmanship that go into the products that has made United Alloy the industry leader it is.
Habitat for Humanity
/in UAI Events, UAI News /by UAIHabitat for Humanity is one of the newer partnerships that United Alloy has built with Rock County. The foundation puts on their annual “Pound the Pavement” run/walk that works towards building donations to fund the construction, rehabilitation and preservation of homes to provide local families the opportunity to live in decent shelter that may not have been possible due to financial constraints. United Alloy employees are also partnering with this foundation on a volunteer effort to help build the homes that they are providing to the local community.
Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA)
/in UAI Events, UAI News /by UAIUnited Alloy has been a regular Corporate Sponsor of the annual Muscular Dystrophy Association’s (MDA) Tub Run since 2007. This is an event that draws motorcycle riders and spectators from across the Midwest to participate and donate to this great cause. All proceeds from the Tub Run go towards helping local families served by the MDA in Southwestern Wisconsin. With over 1500 riders cruising along a 90-mile course, the 2014 event, its 20th Anniversary, turned out to be the most highly attended Tub Run to date for the Janesville community and the third largest ride of its kind in the nation. Not only is United Alloy a sponsor, we also have several dozen riders of our own that have participated in the event over the years.
